Aligning staffing and physician interests is key barrier to ACOs

An AMN Healthcare survey of 882 hospital administrators and doctors across the U.S. finds 42% consider staffing and physician alignment their biggest hurdle in establishing an accountable care organization. Also, 31.4% of survey respondents cited a lack of initial funding as an ACO barrier, while 26.2% pointed to a lack of interoperable health information technologies.
