Cruise industry may aim to overturn Alaska's tax

Micky Arison, CEO at Carnival Corp., said that the cruise industry is poised to challenge the $50-per-passenger tax in Alaska. Arison has voiced his opposition to the tax before, calling it "unconstitutional and, in fact, effectively illegal." Three major cruise lines are planning to reduce capacity in the state for next year.
