Comcast's thePlatform looks to expand to more platforms, devices

Comcast-owned thePlatform, which delivers most of the video it now handles to personal computers, has announced that it will make its technology available to over-the-top services and IP-connected devices as well. "Media and entertainment companies are looking well beyond today's PCs and conventional set-top boxes to reach their audiences," said thePlatform's chief executive officer, Ian Blaine.
