Research alliance will focus on technology-based health care

A research collaboration between the University of Illinois and the Mayo Clinic seeks to investigate telehealth, individualized medicine, point-of-care tests and other forms of technology-based care. The initiatives are expected to help physicians boost clinical decisions and diagnosis, resulting in improved patient care outcomes, a Mayo spokesman said.
