NPs are on front lines of health law, Sebelius tells conference

Nurse practitioners are the "heart and soul" of medical care and have a critical role in helping patients navigate the health care law, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in her keynote speech at the annual AANP conference in Las Vegas. "It won't be easy, but you didn't listen when critics said you couldn't run your own clinics," Sebelius said. Attendance at the four-day conference is up almost 30% over the previous record.
