Mobile coupons, payments have a long way to go but progress is evident

Singapore leads the way globally in terms of its preparedness for mobile coupons and payments, according to a study by MasterCard, which notes that much more progress is necessary for wide usage. Some services, including Shopkick and NTT Docomo, are making notable gains in reaching out to consumers, and advertisers can take advantage, writes Andy Newton, director of Mobile, MediaCom APAC.
