Homeowner refuses to remove front yard garden

A resident in the Brandermill neighborhood of Chesterfield County, Va., is fighting the homeowners association to keep a vegetable garden in the front yard of his home that was created nearly 10 years ago. "We put a lot of labor into the yard and a lot of money into making it look nice," Chris Gilson says. "I don't feel like I'm hurting Brandermill property values, which is what homeowners associations should be worried about. If anything, I'd think it's beautifying the neighborhood."
