Opinion: MLPs should be available to renewables

Allowing renewable-energy developers to structure their projects as master limited partnerships is a "common-sense proposal" that Congress should address, according to Dennis McGinn, CEO of the American Council on Renewable Energy. Limiting MLPs to fossil fuels "would show that Congress wants the incumbents of the private sector, such as oil and natural gas, to remain winners without even really competing," McGinn writes.
