Schorsch says non-traded REITs' assets should be $350B

With $84 billion in assets, non-traded real estate investment trusts are an important part of America's economy, but the sector should be bigger, said Nicholas Schorsch, chairman and CEO of American Realty Capital. Assuming it can attract 5% of the mass affluent market's $7 trillion in assets "this industry should be $350 billion," he said. "We will become bigger if we do our job right," Schorsch said.
