Tenn. students get access to new mechatronics degree

Middle Tennessee State University is launching a three-tiered mechatronics degree program in collaboration with local businesses and community colleges. Mechatronics engineering involves computer, electrical and mechanical disciplines and relies heavily on math, especially calculus. The program will enable some high-school students earn up to 16 credit hours before graduation.
