Astronomers discover matter called nuclear pasta

Astronomers have discovered a rare state of matter called nuclear pasta that exists inside neutron stars -- the densest space matter next to black holes. The study used spin rates in pulsar stars to discover the existence of nuclear pasta, which ranges in shapes that mirror various pastas, such as lasagna and fusilli.
