Financial advising for same-sex couples remains to be ironed out

The Supreme Court has struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and opened up federal benefits for same-sex couples, but financial planning for these couples has yet to be figured out, experts say. "For couples that are living in states that don't permit same-sex marriage, they will still be in the same situation they were in before," lawyer Nicole Pearl says.
