Google bolsters malware awareness with transparency reports

Google is taking steps to ensure consumers are educated about Internet security risks, announcing that it will begin publishing weekly updates about the roughly 10,000 malware and phishing sites it discovers on any given day. The information, which will be included in Google's Transparency Report, is designed to encourage hosting sites to quickly respond to malware infections and will include maps showing where bugs are being created.
