U.S. company asks Canadian nuclear agency to approve HEU container

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has received an application from U.S. company NAC International for approval of a container intended to transport liquid highly enriched uranium. This is the first such request received by the CNSC, said agency spokesman Aurele Gervais. Gervais said the package is "not specific to any project at this point in time."
