Utah boosts restaurant liquor stings

Utah lawmakers added more undercover liquor cops, and agents have been performing more undercover stings to catch restaurants that don't comply with state laws that require patrons who want beer, wine or a cocktail to also order food. The violations come with fines ranging from $500 to $3,000, and eateries that offer free appetizers instead of making guests buy food are also in violation.
