Utilities' proposed deals for renewables get nod from Fla. regulators

Standard contracts for renewable energy presented by Florida Power & Light, Duke Energy Florida, Tampa Electric and Gulf Power met the approval of the state Public Service Commission. The standard offer contracts, which are set to run for 10 years or longer, contain the terms for renewable energy purchases by utilities subject to the state's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.
