Liraglutide may help healthy people to maintain weight, study suggests

Data on 422 healthy participants found that those who took the diabetes drug liraglutide after losing weight using a low-calorie diet maintained an average weight loss of 6.1%, compared with 0.5% in those who used a placebo. The findings suggest that the diabetes drug may also have weight-loss benefits for those who do not have diabetes, experts said.
