Program helps schools preserve arts education

School districts in San Gabriel Valley and Whittier, Calif., have signed on to an arts education program operated by Los Angeles County that helps schools preserve arts programs, many of which have been decimated by budget cuts. The Arts for All collaborative provides professional development and assistance for districts that want to include dance, music, theater and visual arts in their curricula. It also pairs artists with classroom teachers to provide additional support for student learning.
