Bill would give Welsh government the power to set ag workers' pay

An emergency bill has been introduced in Wales to give the government the ability to set farm workers' pay and have control over working conditions for the country's more than 13,000 farm workers. The bill, slated for a quick hearing, comes after the Agricultural Wages Board, which gave farmers and workers a place to negotiate wages and conditions, was abolished Tuesday.
