Mobile phone malware attacks are growing exponentially, report finds

The rate of mobile malware attacks has increased sixfold in the past year, according to Juniper Networks, giving banks even more impetus to work to shore up their mobile security. The majority of attacks are Trojans embedded in apps. "A business case has emerged for malware developers -- for a majority of them," said Troy Vennon, director of Juniper Networks' mobile threat center. "They found a way to monetize [their wares] via SMS."
