More military families concerned about retirement security

Sixty-eight percent of middle-class military families report feeling they won't retire as securely as older generations did, according to a survey from the First Command Financial Behaviors Index. About the same number felt that reductions in military retirement benefits would discourage members from staying in the service. Ninety-two percent of these families have supplemental retirement savings such as a 401(k) or IRA.
