Pentagon considers increased military assistance to Iraq, Lebanon

With the violence in Syria beginning to spread to its neighbors, U.S. military leaders are considering deploying troops to the region to serve as training teams for local security forces. The U.S. is also considering expediting foreign weapons sales to Lebanon, Iraq, Turkey and other nations.
