Skeptical senators to grill FHFA nominee Watt today

President Barack Obama's nominee for director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Rep. Mel Watt, D-N.C., will face the Senate banking committee today, which includes lawmakers who are skeptical about his knowledge of housing finance. His chances of confirmation are unclear, as he will need at least five Republican votes to get the 60 needed in the full Senate for approval.
