Taiwan central bank holding rates steady, with eye on inflation

Taiwan's central bank held its benchmark interest rates steady, and bank Governor Perng Fai-nan said no changes are planned unless the inflation rate picks up. "If the outlook for consumer prices climbs, the central bank will raise policy rates. It depends on expectations on inflation in the future," Perng said.
