UN prepares to receive Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II will make appeal to the 192 General Assembly members to strive for unity and world peace in a July 6 speech at the United Nations. This will be the first time the monarch has addressed the UN since 1957. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed hope that the queen will use the occasion to endorse efforts to meet Millennium Development Goals.
