Obesity rates are higher for adults with disabilities, study finds

Obesity and extreme obesity was more prevalent among adults with disabilities compared with people who did not have disabilities, according to a study in the American Journal of Preventative Medicine. Researchers said the severity of disability and disability status also negatively affected most chronic disease risk factors.
