Study: More weight loss seen with cutting carbs 2 days a week

Women who reduced carbohydrates for two days each week but ate regularly the other five days lost more weight than did those who followed a Mediterranean-style diet of 1,500 calories per day, according to a study presented at the CTRC-AACR San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. The U.K. researchers said women who used the intermittent diet model also saw more improvements in insulin and leptin levels.
