Tech sector praises immigration bill; workers prepare for fallout

Top executives from technology firms, including Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Cisco CEO John Chambers, applauded the Senate for passing an immigration bill that would open the door for more foreign guest workers, but some of those outside the boardroom are concerned the measure would undermine U.S. jobs. Tech workers and labor advocates say the presence of more high-skilled foreigners would depress wages and lead to increased unemployment of American workers.
