LifeSouth blood centers will supply several hospitals in Ala.

Eight Alabama hospitals will begin using Florida-based LifeSouth Community Blood Centers as their primary blood supplier. They will also invest as much as $3 million to help the group set up more local facilities. Hospital heads say the deal will save money and boost the local blood supply.
