Congress introduces bills to allow use of after-market crash parts

Lawmakers in the House and Senate have introduced bills that would allow those who do collision repairs to use after-market supplies. The move is supported by PCI and other insurer groups. "As they consider this legislation, we hope lawmakers will carefully weigh the role that competition plays in the auto replacement parts market in terms of controlling repair and insurance costs for consumers," said Bob Passmore, director of personal lines for PCI.
