Many U.S. cancer survivors have children under 18

A study in the journal Cancer found more than 1.5 million U.S. cancer survivors have children younger than 18, a finding that researchers said may make health care providers more aware of this group. They say families of cancer survivors may need more support and services, which are not part of traditional cancer treatment.
