Two Texas elementary-school teachers have written a musical play called "American Idol -- Early Presidents Edition" to help their students learn about the country's first seven presidents. Fourth-graders performed the play, in which students portraying John and Abigail Adams sang new lyrics to "The Addams Family" theme song and five students dressed as Andrew Jackson performed as "The Andrew Jackson Five." Teacher Denise Smith, who co-wrote the play, published it and four other educational plays in the book "Lights, Camera, Action! Bringing Your Curriculum to Life Through Plays."
