Alcohol-related ED visits for underage boys double over holiday

The U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration said that 622 boys and 304 girls visited emergency departments daily over the 2009 Independence Day weekend due to alcohol-related injuries. The number of ED visits for girls held steady, while visits from boys doubled, according to the report.
