Australia: Mobile commerce surge is forecast

The Australian mobile commerce market, which accounted for $155 million in mobile payments last year, is set to grow with 60% of Australian mobile users intending to use their phones to conduct transactions and 65% of them carrying Internet-enabled phones. Location-based services like Foursquare have made headway in the country, with companies like Mag Nation offering discounts for using the service.
