The King of Pop burns up the airwaves

Radio outlets dramatically have increased airplay of Michael Jackson's music, with "Billie Jean" peaking at 1,902 plays on Friday compared with 33 on Wednesday, the day before the pop superstar's death, according to Nielsen BDS. Plays of other Jackson songs, including "Thriller" and "Man in the Mirror," also jumped as stations launched tribute shows and all-Jackson formats.
