Federal telehealth program to award up to $17.5M in grants

The Department of Agriculture is offering grants of as much as $500,000 each under its Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program. The program, which could provide up to $17.5 million for fiscal year 2013, was created to fund distance learning and telehealth services in rural communities. Applications for the grants are being accepted through Aug. 12.
