Vote on drug compounding measure urged by senator

Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., urged leadership to set a vote on his measure that would give the FDA authority to regulate some drug compounders. The bill would avert future tragedies, the Senate Health Committee's top Republican said in a statement. "The health committee ... unanimously passed a bill to help prevent such a crisis from happening again, and the legislation should be called up for a vote as soon as possible," Alexander said.
