Barry Callebaut: Outsourcing boosts world chocolate market

Outsourcing deals have helped boost the world chocolate market by 8.2% in the nine months to May, according to Barry Callebaut, the world's top chocolate and cocoa-product maker. Sales volumes for Barry Callebaut rose 8.9% in the third quarter while the global chocolate market grew 1.9% over the same period. The chocolate maker says outsourcing to companies like Nestle, Mondelez and Hershey's helped boost growth.
