Civil Air Patrol program prepares cadets for pilot licenses

Some Civil Air Patrol cadets are well on their way to earning their pilot licenses through a summer program. The CAP Flight Academy in Augusta, Maine, is one of five that hosts high-school students from around the country. Students log 30 classroom hours and 10 flight hours in the 10-day program. "To be in the pilot seat and be in control and you're the one flying the airplane, it's amazing," said cadet Michael Chung.
