Minnesota plans St. Croix bridge; awaits federal approval

Minnesota transportation officials are pushing forward plans to build a bridge spanning the St. Croix River, even though federal approval is still pending. The St. Croix River is protected under the National Wild and Scenic Rivers act, and any development will require federal approval. The $670 million project would also improve roadways along the river.
