EEOC settles its largest bias case against Verizon for $20M

Verizon Communications has agreed to a settlement of $20 million in a lawsuit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over the company's hiring of disabled workers. The EEOC charged that Verizon refused to make "reasonable accommodations" for disabled workers who needed more time off than the days provided by the company.
