Lower prices on 3DTVs could arrive by the holiday season

3D televisions are expected to be more affordable just in time for the holiday shopping season. The price difference between 3DTVs and their flat-screen cousins could decrease to $150 by November, according to the website Retrevo.com, which notes that the difference is currently around $400. Price has kept many consumers from adopting 3DTV, but a dearth of content has also played a role. "Sporting events are a fun experience, [but] we're still waiting for the next 'Avatar,'" Retrevo.com's Andrew Eisner said.
