Domestic airlines are poised to generate revenue

Last year, major carriers saw their average fares deteriorate each month in a year-over-year basis. This year, airlines' average fares have increased each month. Meanwhile, the carriers have struck gold with ancillary fees for everything from making a change to a ticket to checking in luggage. The result has been that most airlines are better poised to generate revenue than they have been in recent years.
