BBC to take a 3DTV break

Lack of enthusiasm from the public has caused the BBC to put the brakes on a project to develop 3D television programming, said project head Kim Shillinglaw. The broadcaster will take a three-year break after finding viewers felt the experience was more trouble than it was worth and seeing poor viewership numbers on 3D broadcasts last Christmas.
