Lightning strike prompts shutdown of Connecticut reactor

A nuclear reactor operated by Dominion in Waterford, Conn., remains down after lightning struck a power line this week, causing a fluctuation in the plant's power station. The Millstone 2 nuclear reactor is stable and a shutdown was conducted safely, said a Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokeswoman.
