Virginia winemakers are rallying state government marketing efforts, pouring myriad tastings at wine fairs and uncorking bottles throughout the country, in hopes that more stores and restaurants will buy into the state's growing wine market. "Wine is one of the fastest-growing segments of agriculture," said Todd Haymore, Virginia's secretary of agriculture and forestry. "We can't be California, but we can be the East Coast capital for wine and wine tourism."
