Alaska's south-central area ablaze with dozens of wildfires

Wildfires have hit the south central region of Alaska, with one charring more than 125,000 acres, state officials reported. Lightning sparked the biggest blaze near Anchorage, reportedly putting about 70 properties at risk. A total of 363 wildfires have been reported across the state so far this year, burning 629,730 acres.
