U.S. scientists discover 3 potent antibodies against HIV

Scientists at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases looked at the cells of a 60-year-old man with HIV and identified three antibodies, which his body produced naturally, that proved to be effective against the AIDS virus. They found that one of these antibodies has the ability to neutralize 91% of HIV strains. The discovery might help in the development of vaccines against HIV and other viral conditions.
