7-Eleven goes all-out on mobile for its special day

Convenience chain 7-Eleven is using text messages, mobile advertising, social media and video to promote its 7-Eleven Day this week. The brand also developed a Slurpee Dance to drive awareness of the July 11 celebration. "Because our store guests are more mobile than ever, they can use their phones to film the dance after they get their free Slurpee drink and upload it to Facebook or YouTube straight from their phone," said company spokeswoman Margaret Chabris.
