Maine nears law on GMO food labeling

Maine might be edging closer to labeling food that contains genetically modified ingredients. Gov. Paul LePage has indicated support for a bill on the matter and could sign it next year. Scott Faber, executive director of Just Label It, calls a state-by-state push "costly." "It's just bad business for food companies to continue to fight in 50 states when they could ultimately work with the FDA and consumer advocates for a federal solution," Faber said.
